　　Šljivovica is a traditional distilled liquor made from plums. Associated customs include the complex knowledge and skills required for home distillation, as well as its consumption in daily life and rituals. The production process involves multiple stages, from harvesting and aging to distillation, with both families and communities participating. During festive occasions, Šljivovica is paired with toasts to express wishes for health and happiness. Additionally, it is used in rituals and traditional medicine. These customs are typically passed down within families and local communities.
